FRESH AND DRY. Both procedures consist of the direct application of the paint on a previous background of lime.
IN THE CASEIN. It consists of mixing calcium hydroxide with casein, giving a hard compound of casein and calcium with great resistance to atmospheric agents.
SATIN WHITE. It is obtained by treating aluminum sulfate, free of iron and finely ground, with hot lime grout.
TITANIUM WHITE. By treating ilmenite with carbon and calcium hydroxide, iron is obtained and, from the slag of this procedure, titanium dioxide in a very high state of purity.
VARNISHES. Hydrated lime is generally used in oil-resinous varnishes acting as a neutralizer of the acid in the resin and clarifying and hardening the varnish.
